Before Dream Into Dust, there was December. Before December, a two-song demo (chthonicstreams.bandcamp.com/album/watching-for-the-rain-cocoon) was released. But before that, there were years of experiments, unfinished ideas, and what seemed at the time like failures.

Embryonic is the very beginnings of a musician making recordings and finding a voice. What began as primitive explorations with minimal instruments and equipment developed over time to the point of arranged multitrack ideas for eventual songs that never came to be.

All the music here was rescued from cassette tapes recorded during this long gestation period. Nothing new was added, but sometimes elements recorded years apart were combined to bring the music as close as possible to a finished album.

Suffocating and claustrophobic death industrial/dark ambient reminiscent of classic acts such as Megaptera, Yen Pox, Lustmord, etc. Cold, clinical, minimal and rhythmic in its presentation, the results are highly effective and atmospheric.
